Creative Artist
Monique creates with as many textures as she can get her hands on. Inspired by everything around her and the sensuousness that nature has to offer. She is guided by the five senses, imagination, & sustainability. She enjoys greatly collaborating with other artists. Monique has done installation couture at photoshoots, sculpture with wood & fabric, & murals to create unique spaces. On her down time, she paints mini canvases which can be found on Society6. Currently making paillettes out of plastic bread closures and flower “sugar” sculptures out of plastic bottles for her avant-garde designs for the Sugar Gala Fashion Show.

Monique has over 30 years of experience in production & art. Being an artist herself with an abundance of artists in her digital rolodex, and her perfectionist standards, she leaves nothing to chance. All hard tangibles are well thought of with troubleshooting plans set up, mixed with an out-of-the-box, artistic mission to be different. She is constantly eyeing & finding unique locations for photoshoots. She creates best runways from the viewers perspective. She designs one-of-a-kind backdrops for fashion shows. She seeks out inventing looks, not copy what has been done before. Her hand is in lighting design as well as music arrangements. She believes that fashion shows should transport you in all your senses.

Monique made her first top at the age of 14. She started with designing costumes for performance dance of many forms for individuals & groups on local and international stages. Monique began her fashion brand of one of a kind, sustainable creations in 2007 and took it to the runways of London & NYFW in 2013. Then in 2019 took it to Portland Fashion Week & London Fashion Week for Sustainable designers. For 13 years she made women around the world feel feminine & sexy. Monique also makes accessories for her runways shows, as well as collaborations in conceptual designs for handbags, totes, & statement pieces.

Monique believes that art is in everything we do. Her philosophy is about letting go, feeling, being uninhibited in self, & getting drawn to everything that makes you smile. She believes in handmade craftmanship, nature, flavors, exotic adventures, cultures & art. Monique’s lens is in 4D. Rather than trying to understand it, best to sit tight, buckle-up and let go.
She can direct your dance &/or stage production. Her dance career started at the age of 5. She now is a retired Flamenco dancer, Samba dancer, & Argentine Tango dancer, as well as Cabaret dancer (can-can, burlesque, the Charleston, hip-hop, etc.).
